Brooklyn Craft Central (Sat. and Sun, Dec 15+16 & Dec 22+23) takes normal craft fairs and punches in the face! Ok, not really. But metaphorically it totally does. Why you ask? Cause it’s like fight club and…. No wait it’s not really like fight club… Sorry, not sure where the focus on fisticuffs is coming from. Oh wait, yes we do. It’s cause this event is badass and here’s 5 solid reasons why you are going…
1) It’s at Littlefield
You of course know Littlefield the 6200-square foot warehouse venue with shows like Kurt Braunohler and Kristin Schaal Hot Tub and former Daily Show’s Wyatt Cenac comedy show Night Train. (If you didn’t go to either of these, know we are totally giving you the stink eye). Aside from the celebratah’ that perfumes the joint, Littlefield is super close to where you live. It’s in a little neighborhood that we love called, Gowanus! Which is conveniently located in between your laziness and the fact that you need holiday gifts.
2) The Media is telling you to!

Well this is pretty sweet!
Sugar in my Soul is a vanilla extract made right here in Brooklyn from Tahitian Vanilla beans harvested in Papua New Guinea. The extract from Elisa & Armistead Booker is made by spitting each Tahitian Vanilla beans by hand a scraping out the the tiny vanilla packed seeds inside. These seeds are then placed in a gallon of high end vodka or bourbon for 3 months and left alone in a dark place. Finally the mix of booze and seeds are shaken up, at which time the alcohol extracts the flavor from the beans! Making beer is as close to being a God as a human being can get. Why? cause beer is freaking good and a key ingredient to making life awesome! In NYC there really aren’t to many place to grab supplies to make your own beer, luckily there’s the sweet couple from the Brooklyn Brew Shop to help you get your brewing on.
The couple, Erica Shea and Stephen Valand, have really nice kits that are available at various location in New York and across this country in places like Brooklyn Victory Garden, Choice Greene, and apparently now at Whole Foods.
