Rooftop Films Announces Summer Schedule

Rooftop Films has announce the what, when, where of it’s yearly summer scening series. This season they will screen 23 features and 183 short films. You can find the full list of films and where they are showing here.

There are many films showing here in Gowanus at the Old American Can Factory including The Tsunami And The Cherry Blossom, which tells the tale of real life survivers of the tsunami that hit Japan last year. Below is the list of other great films that will be showing here in Gowanus:

The Patron Saints, a recipient of the Rooftop Filmmaker’s Fund grant, is a disquieting and hyperrealistic glimpse into life at a nursing home. Bound by the candid confessions of a recently disabled resident, the film weaves haunting images, scenes and stories from within the institution walls.
