We love our bling! We love our ring bling, our neckless bling, nose bling, ear bling, and all other bling! (we also love the word “bling”!) But one thing we love more than our bling is learning how to make our own… bling! The Bloomfield School has unique classes on how to make these various types of jewelry. The classes are small to ensure close interaction between students and instructor. The classes are taught by RISD alumni, Kerrie Yeung and Melissa J. Tyson who both have a background in this specialized craft. They are offering courses on Ring Making from Wax to Metal and Focal Bead Making from Wax to Metal right now!
The Ring making from wax to metal will take you through:
the step-by-step process of planning, carving and finishing a ring of your own design.”
Focal Bead making from wax to metal will take you through:
the steps of wax working and surface treatment to make cast-metal focal beads for your jewelry projects.”
That sounds pretty cool!
Classes for The Bloomfield School are being taught at 75 10th Street Studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
